Campground Rules

As the owners of this campground, we are pleased that you have chosen to stay with us and are committed to providing you and your family with a fun and memorable stay. These rules help us to ensure that all of our guests have an enjoyable visit. Please be considerate of your fellow campers and abide by these policies.

We hope you enjoy your stay! Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve your visit.

Guests:

All guests must register at the office and pay a fee of $5.

Site Assignments and Rules:

Please set up your camp on the assigned site. Specific sites may be requested but are not guaranteed.
ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER CAMPSITE. Extra vehicles must register with office.
No clotheslines are permitted.
Each site must be kept clean and tidy.
OHIO EPA prohibits dumping of dishwater and gray water on the ground. Utility sink is available for dish washing behind the camp store/laundry room. Dump station is available for use across from site 41.

Check In & Checkout Policy:

Check in begins at 2:00 p.m. and check out is by 1:00 p.m. for Campsites and 12:00 p.m. for all Kabins. Please contact office if you wish to arrive early or stay late.

Conduct:

Guests and their visitors are expected to behave in a manner consistent with a family atmosphere. No loud parties, no drunkeness, no unsafe behavior, courtesy to neighbors, observing quiet hours, etc.

Quiet Hours:

11:00 PM until 8:00 AM. Campfires must be out by 12:30 A.M. Quiet time is strictly enforced. Please remember your neighbors are only a few feet away.

Pets:

NO DOBERMAN, ROTTWEILLERS, PITBULLS, OR MIXES OF THESE BREEDS ARE PERMITTED.
The Ohio Health Department requires that pets be registered at office. There is no charge.
Pets must be restrained at all times and walked on a 6 foot leash.
Pets may not left unattended. If you leave your site, your pet must be put in your trailer or a kennel.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Two pets maximum per cabin.
NO PETS IN, BUILDINGS, ON PLAYGROUNDS, POOL AREA OR IN LAKES.
Aggressive behavior, including barking at other guests is not tolerated.
Barking dogs will be required to leave.
Service Dogs of any breed are allowed – all other pet rules still apply

Carpets:

No carpets or mats of any size or type are to be used on the grass. We value our nice green lawns and so do the campers after you.

Trash:

All trash must be wrapped in plastic bags and deposited in the trash bins provided. Please help us keep prices lower by burning paper trash when safe.

Motorized Vehicles:

Licensed street bikes only and those to and from campsite only. No ATV or mini-bikes permitted. Only licensed drivers permitted to drive any type of motorized bike. Golf carts are not permitted. Exceptions are made for those with current handicap placards.

Fires:

Firewood may only be burned only in a fire ring. Fire rings may not be moved from their designated locations. Fires must be attended at all times. Please help us keep prices lower by burning paper trash when safe.

Washing RV Vehicles:

Is permitted. A nozzle attachment that stops water when not needed must be used.

Fireworks and Firearms:

No firearms are permitted on the property. All use of firearms, bow and arrows, or other weapons on the premises is strictly prohibited. No fireworks are permitted to be set off on the property.

Children:

All children (0 thru 17 years) must return to their campsite by 10:00 pm. A campsite must be occupied by at least one responsible adult, who must be registered at the office. Play area closed after dark.

Swimming Pool:

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Swimmers in the swimming pool must wear swimsuits, no street type clothes. Babies must wear swim diapers with rubber pants. No life guards are on duty. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Lakes:

Lakes are off limits for swimming (humans & dogs). Canoes/Kayaks may be used with appropriate safety equipment and at your own risk.

Fishing:

All fishing is catch-and-release. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing is for registered campers and guests only. Fishing after dusk and before dawn is allowed with courtesy given to lakeside campers.

Alcohol:

Alcoholic beverages are restricted to your campsite; no intoxication or rowdiness is tolerated.

Smoking:

By state law, smoking is not permitted in any KOA building, including cabins. Smoking not permitted in the pool area. Please discard butts in appropriate receptacles

Reservations:

A credit card deposit equal to the registration charges for your first night will be required to guarantee a reservation. The deposit will be charged at the time of reservation.
Reservations for weekends must be for 2 nights. Holiday weekends require a 3 night stay.

Cancellations:

A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations made prior to deadline. Cancellations after deadline will result in forfeiture of deposit.
To cancel a reservation you must call or email prior to these deposit refund cancellation deadlines:
- RV/Tent - Notify us by 4 p.m. 2 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
- RV/Tent Cancellation deadline for holiday weekends – Notify us 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
- Kamping Kabin - Notify us 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Refunds:

Refunds are at the sole discretion of management. Refunds are not provided for early departures or no-shows. Weather conditions are not cause for refunds. Guests asked to leave park for rules violations, unsafe or unruly conduct are not provided refunds.

Liability:

Butler Mohican endeavors to provide a safe environment for our guests, however, guest recognizes and accepts that camping entails hazards from actions of others, weather, terrain, flora, fauna and campground activities, and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify KOA Inc, Management, its officers, family members, volunteers, employees and fellow campers harmless from injury, loss or damage to property, themselves or others. Guests agree to pay for any damages to campground property, sites, buildings, facilities, equipment, or loss of equipment, which may occur as a result of action or inaction by guest or their visitors. Guest agrees to immediately report any accident, injury or property damage to the manager or staff. If a hazard or dangerous situation exists on the premise, guests must notify the Management or staff immediately. Guests must have unit and transportation vehicles insured at all times.

Commercial Photography:

Butler Mohican KOA frequently take photos for use in our advertising and website. Guests agree to allow their images to by used by Butler Mohican KOA for these purposes. Photos will not be sold or used for other purposes without consent of guest.
